Do I need to purchase a BLS Provider student manual?

The American Heart Association requires that student manuals are available to student prior to, during and after all provider level courses. Students have the option to purchase the student manual in the registration portal or through a third-party vendor. Student manuals will also be available on loan, free of charge, during your course. 

Do you offer the BLS for the Healthcare Provider course?

 The American Heart Association has changed the name of the course to BLS Provider to accommodate students outside of the healthcare industry.

What is the difference between HeartCode BLS and the BLS Provider?

The HeartCode course is a hybrid learning opportunity where students will complete an online session, followed by an in class skills practice and evaluation. The BLS Provider course is the instructor-led training course provided at our training location. 

How do I complete the required online portion for HeartCode BLS?

Students can register for a HeartCode BLS courses at https://elearning.heart.org/course/21. The HeartCode online course is administered by the American Heart Association. While we can assist with the process of registration, all other issues should be directed to the American Heart Association.

Do you offer a renewal course for students who already have a certification?

BLS Training Centers does not regularly teach a BLS Provider Renewal course. Students looking to renew can attend a HeartCode or BLS Provider course. Renewal courses can be scheduled for group registrations, on an as needed basis.
