Family and Friends CPR

FREE! This course is completely free. Students who wish to make donations towards future courses for the community may do so in cash during your course, or Venmo (@BLSTC). 

Students who complete this course will receive a certificate of completion. This certificate is NOT considered to be a certification. If you require certification for school or employment, please visit our regular class schedule at https://blstrainingcenters.com/schedule. 

No! Anybody is welcome to attend. Students can be any age, but we request that a parent be present if under 13. There are no perquisites to attend.

Every state, including New Jersey, have laws that protect private citizens from litigation when acting in good faith, commonly referred to as Good Samaritan Laws. Please review your state laws or contact an attorney if you have concerns. 

While it is true that you may break ribs during CPR, that should not be a deterrent. People can recover from broken ribs. High quality CPR with consistent compressions should remain the priority.

That is okay! If you do not wish to perform mouth to mouth on a stranger or coworker, you can perform Hands-Only CPR with high quality compressions at a rate of 100-120 beats per method. Hands-only CPR and CPR with breaths will both be discussed during your training!
